We use brushed stainless steel. This means the one side has a 240 grit brush polish on one side of the sheet, and this is done by the stainless steel manufacturer. This will be the face side of the sign as the polished side is protected by a peel off PVC coating to ensure that the sheet does not get scratched during the laser cutting. The reverse side is unpolished. However, we can polish this reverse side manually. As this is a manual process, it is not as precise as the factory polish and the polish may not be as uniform in direction.
Care of your stainless steel product - from time to time please wash with warm soapy water then rinsing and wiping dry will maintain the look of the sign. You can then oil with WD40 or other general oil such as Baby or Olive oil.
PLEASE NOTE - any abrasive cleaner will scratch a bright annealed or brushed finish stainless steel. On other finishes, the cleaner should be used in the direction of the polish. For cleaning - use a clean, dust & grit-free cloth to avoid scratching.
